en viros. <br /> r - <br /> CMay 21, 1996 ' <br /> Mr. Steve Sasson <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201-388 <br /> RE: Soil Boring Installation Report <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 4315 Waterloo Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC #204-7524-2804 <br /> Dear Mr Sasson <br /> This report documents the installation of ten exploratory soil borings at the above <br /> referenced site (Plates 1 and 2) The work was performed in response to the August 29, <br /> 1995, and November 14, 1995 San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) <br /> letters requiring further investigation in the vicinity of the former underground storage tank <br /> (UST) area and the dispenser island area Enviros performed the work in accordance with <br /> a work plan prepared by Fugro West, Inc , and in compliance with SJCPHS and Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board guidelines <br /> 1.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is currently an operating gasoline station located at 4315 Waterloo Road in <br /> Stockton, California (Plate 1 & 2) The site layout consists of a service station <br /> building, two dispenser islands, two double-walled fiberglass USTs, and <br /> associated piping Ground water beneath the site is estimated to be approximately <br /> 65 feet below grade (fbg) <br /> During December 1994, four single-walled steel USTs (two 5,000 gallon, one <br /> 8,000 gallon, and one 7,000 gallon) were removed along with associated product <br /> piping Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected from the <br /> former UST excavation Over-excavation was performed and additional soil <br /> samples were collected Soil sample WE 14, collected from the excavation sidewall <br /> at 14 fbg contained 380 parts per million (ppm) of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon <br /> calculated as gasoline (TPH-G) Soil samples PL-9 and PL-12, collected at 6 and <br /> 6 5 fbg, respectively, from the dispenser island area contained 1,600 and 1,700 <br /> ppm TPH-G, respectively Complete results of the UST removal are documented <br /> in the Fugro West, Inc , April 19, 1995 Underground Storage Tank Closure <br /> Report <br /> Enviros, Inc 270 Perkins Street Sonoma CaGlornia ref 707/935 4850 <br /> P 0 Box 259 95476 0259 Fax 7071935 6649 <br />
