Site Investigation Work Plan <br /> Pacific Pride- West Lane <br /> 3230 North West Lane, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared this Site Investigation Work Plan for the collection of <br /> soil samples at 3230 North West Lane in Stockton, California(the site). The scope of work includes <br /> the advancement of six soil probe borings in the underground storage tank (UST) and in the <br /> dispenser and piping areas for the collection and analysis of soil samples. The location of the site is <br /> illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> Soil impacted by fuel hydrocarbons and oxygenated fuel additives was encountered during the <br /> removal of USTs from the site in February 1999.The PHS-EHD has required by letter dated 03 June <br /> 1999 that a work plan to determine the lateral and vertical extent of contamination be prepared. <br /> This Work Plan is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of UST sites. <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION AND USAGE <br /> The site is located in a flat, commercial area of eastern Stockton, California, on the southeast corner <br /> of the intersection of West Lane and Alpine Avenue. One 10,000-gallon diesel UST and two 10,000- <br /> gallon gasoline USTs were removed from the site on 24 February 1999. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL AND SOIL SAMPLES <br /> Soil samples collected from the stockpiled soil (Tables 1 and 2) detected total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d)at concentrations as high as 75 micrograms per kilogram <br /> (ug/kg); volatile aromatic compounds: benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) were <br /> detected at concentrations as high as 16,000 pg/kg;methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE)was detected <br /> at concentrations as high as 180,ug/kg. <br /> Soil samples from the base and walls of the tank pit were collected at 14 and 15 feet below surface <br /> grade(bsg). The northern west wall sample for Tank#2 had petroleum-impacted soil consisting of <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
