l26 December 2000
AGE-NC Project No 97-0300
and the September 2000 ground water monitoring events (Table 1) The decrease of ground
water elevations is probably due to the seasonal fluctuation pattern
• Very low concentrations of dissolved TPH-d appear to be present in the area of monitoring
well MW-1 indicating that there is only a minor impact to ground water in the area assessed
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon the results of the Third Quarter 2000 investigation, AGE recommends
• Continued Quarterly ground water monitoring of wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 for the
' remainder of the year, following four consecutive ground water monitoring events,AGE will
make a recommendation to the PHS-EHD to re-evaluate the ground water monitoring
program, if warranted The next ground water monitoring event is tentatively scheduled for
IDecember 2000
• Submission of a ground water monitoring well sample collected from MW-1 to a
microbiological laboratory for microbial enumeration and physicochemical analysis to assess
the potential for natural attenuation of petroleum hydrocarbons in ground water at the site
• Elimination of analysis for methanol, ethanol, 1,2-DCA and EDB in collected ground water
samples
• Preparation of a corrective action plan report to evaluate several remedial alternatives for the
site
G.O. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydro-
geologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number
of available data points (ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may vary away from
these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained In this report
Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc
