<br /> The purpose of this Notice is to advise you that:
<br /> Two proposed settlements in the above referenced lawsuit (the "action)
<br /> discussed below may affect your rights.
<br /> . .:.The Settling Parties.
<br /> R' The.First Fina Consent Decree is.between and among Plaintiff Lin-
<br /> coin Properties, Ltd., a California Limited, Partnership; Defendant, the
<br /> County of San Joaquin, California: and the'Tollowing Defendants who
<br /> are collectively referred to,in this Notice as the "Settling Dry Cleaning
<br /> -Defendants." Jack Alquist, individually and doing business as Lincoln
<br /> Village Cleaners, formerly doing business as Village Cleaners and Lin-
<br /> coin Village Cleaners, Inc.; the Estate of'Dwight Alquist, deceased;
<br /> s. Monroe H. Hess, Jr., individually and doing business as Finest Care
<br /> Cleaners, formerly doing business as Lincoln Village One-Hour Martin-
<br /> izing; Bennia.Hein, individually and doing business as Norge Cleaners,
<br /> formerly doing business as Norge Cleaning Village; Bonnie Crosby, in-
<br /> dividually an doing business as Norge Cleaners, formerly doing busi-
<br /> ness as Norge Cleaning Village; James A. Murray,.Jr., individually and
<br /> doing business as Finest Care Cleaners, formerly doing business as
<br /> Lincoln Center One-Hour Martinizing; Jeanne Hess, individually and do-
<br /> ing business as Finest Care Cleaners, formerly doing business as Lin-
<br /> coin Center One-Hour Martinizing; and Wilbert Moser, individually and
<br /> * doing business as Lincoln Village Cleaners; and
<br /> ` The Second Final Consent Decree is between and-among Plaintiff
<br /> Lincoln Properties, Ltd. and Defendant A.A. Mederos.
<br /> Documents Available For Review
<br /> On June 9, 1994, the Settling Parties gave the public notice and an.
<br /> opportunity to comment on the proposed settlements. The Settling Par-
<br /> ties have compiled all public comments timely received and provided
<br /> responses thereto which shall be presented to the Court at the time the
<br /> Settling Parties move the Court for entry of the proposed Consent De-
<br /> crees as Orders of the Court. The Settling Parties have made available
<br /> +'• all public comments received, the Settline Parties' responses thereto,
<br /> the proposed amendments to the First and Second Final Consent De-
<br /> crees, as well as the joint motions for entry of the Consent Decrees by
<br /> lodging each of the foregoing documents in the public.document depos-
<br /> itory at the Margaret Klausner Troke Branch of the Stockton Public Li-
<br /> brary located at 502 W.. Benjamin. Holt Drive, Stockton, California.'

<br /> Motions for Entry--of Consent Decrees
<br /> The Settling Parties have moved the Court for approval of the settle-
<br /> ments and for entry of the proposed.Consent Decrees as Orders of the
<br /> _. .Court, which Motions shall be heard by the Hon. David F. Levi, United
<br /> States District Judge, at the United States District Court for the Eastern
<br /> District of California, located at 350 Capitol Mall. Sacramento, California l
<br /> on September 28,'1995 at 2 p.m.`
<br /> Interested Parties .May Seek To Intervene
<br /> Any interested party who may wish to appear before the Court and
<br /> to take a position regarding entry of the proposed Consent Decrees as!
<br /> Orders of the Court should, with or without assistance of counsel, time-i
<br /> r ly move the Court for leave to intervene into this action and, if granted,
<br /> present their position to the Court at the hearing on the foregoing mo-
<br /> ' � tions which shall take place on,September 28, 1995, at 2 p.m. at the
