The migration off site of contaminants appears to
be increasing as documented with the increased contamination detected in the off site
monitoring well, MW12. PHS/EHD understands that the vapor extraction system was re-
started in February 1994 and has contributed to the overall remediation of the site.
However, the continued migration of groundwater contamination off site requires an
evaluation and modification of the remedial system in use.
PHS/EHD requested in correspondence dated February 18, 1994 that information be
obtained to evaluate the effects that groundwater extraction may have on the migration
of chlorinated hydrocarbon contamination. If this information has been obtained it
should be included in the overall evaluation of the site remediation plan.
Please contact Mary Meays, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-0337 of my staff, if you have any
questions, comments, or wish to schedule a site inspection.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays, Senior REHS 'Ain . mson, RENS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
N M\6425PACI
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB cc: Phillip Isorena, CVRWQCB
cc: George Converse, WEGE cc: Lincoln Properties
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
