Investigation revealed that two underground storage tanks were uncovered to do
precision tests on January 13, 1987,strong gasoline odors emanating from the south end of
tank #2 and that soil which had been excavated had already been hauled off to a location
which had not been identified.
I
01-14-87 A Wickland representative informed PHS/EHD that the soil was disposed of at the Lodi
Sanitary Landfill. He reported that during the precision testing on the regular tank a small
leak was detected where someone had used an electrical coupling on the line rather than a
pipe coupling. The repair was made and precision testing passed.
1988
l
05-23-88 PHS/EHD conducted a site inspection to evaluate the proposed locations of soil borings.
Repair work to the product and vapor return lines was underway in response to a failed
precision test.
