Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, Calif. 95201 <br /> RE: Addendum to November 18, 1988 Work plan to .delineate the <br /> lateral and vertical extent of gasoline-range hydrocarbon <br /> comtamination at. former .Regal Service Station 503, located <br /> at" 6425 Pacific Avenue and Douglas Avenue, Stockton, <br /> California. <br /> Dear Mrs. Hinson: <br /> Per our phone conversation on this date, this addendum concerns <br /> L the samples that are to be collected, preserved, and chain-of- <br /> custody hand-delivered to a state certified laboratory for <br /> analysis. <br /> Samples will be collected for each boring based upon the following <br /> criteria: highest concentration of contamination, base of boring, <br /> immediately above water and water ( if water is encountered), and <br /> probable contamination levels below action levels. A hand-held <br /> Photofonixing Detector (PID) will be used to field screen each <br /> sleeved soil sample obtained from the borings. The PID will be <br /> calibrated with a 50 parts per million gasoline vapor standard. <br /> Each soil sample will undergo the following analyses: <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH), EPA Method 8015, using <br /> EPA Method 3550 for extraction. <br /> Soil, Aromatic Volatile Organics (BTEX), EPA Method 8020 <br /> Water, Aromatic Volatile Organics (STEX), EPA Method 602 <br /> 1 <br />
