01386 EAST BEAMER STREET
VVEG ES'TERN WOODLAND, CA 95776-6003
` GEOEIVG17VEERS FAX (916) 662-0273
(9116) 668 -5300
CALIF CONTRACTOR # 5138{7 A CORPORATION
REGISTERED GEOLOGISTS
u
Mr Larry Williams June 3 , 1997
Senior Environmental Control Officer
City of Stockton
Dept of Municipal Utilities
2500 Navy Drive
Stockton, CA. 95206
(209) 944-8722
RE Wastewater Discharge Permit UPDATE #25 for Wickland
Properties site R603 , located at 6425 Pacific Avenue, Stockton,
California . {
Dear Mr Williams :
The following letter is the Update Status Report concerning the
above wastewater discharge permit
SPILL PREVENTION PLAN
As required by the Wastewater Discharge Permit for this site, a
spill prevention plan has been prepared
The waste stream is treated groundwater condensate, produced from
t the vapor extraction of monitor wells MWI, MW2, MW3 , and MW10,
and the purged water produced during the quarterly ground water
sampling of all the wells associated with this site
Lawrence Tank Testing' s (LTT) vacuum pump service uses their
vacuum pump to pull the water from the wells, through dedicated
one inch Sch 40 PVC pipe, into a 100 gallon stainless steel tank
This water is then transferred to the "ConVault" for treatment by
"tank aeration" , with the vapor destruction accomplished using
air stripping with activated carbon adsorbtion. The carbon is
also concurrently destroying vapor being pulled from the soil .
LTT has, for the time being, stopped (August, 1993) purging
monitor wells MWI , MW2, MW3 , MW8 and MW10 . We are still placing
the condensate water produced from the vapor extraction system
into the "ConVault" for vacuum stripping treatment .
if evaluations indicate that a continuous groundwater pumping
system is needed, selected wells will be connected to the
"ConVault" treatment system.
Groundwater recovery lines, from the wells to the treatment
compound, will be 3/8" nylon tubing inside buried 3" PVC pipe,
for double containment considerations .
The groundwater recovery lines will be plumbed to an above ground
polyethylene sediment trap The contaminated groundwater iS
pumped from the sediment trap with a centrifugal pump and sprayed
into a "ConVault" 1000 gallon above ground tank for spray
