• <br /> PIPING REMOVAL DOCUMENTATION SAMPLING <br /> One soil sample was obtained fionn nati,,e soil beneath the removed pioduct dispensing piping for <br /> appio\imately every 20 linear feet of piping trench and from beneath each dispenser Each sample <br /> \\as collected in a 2-inch by 6-inch clean brass slee%e Immediately after obtaining the soil sample <br /> it \\as field screened with a PID (photo-ionizing detector) containing a 10 2 ev bulb foi the <br /> piesence of volatile organic compounds, gasoline ranges The sample sleeve was thein sealed xN ith <br /> teflon sheets and plastic end caps to pievent the loss of VOC's (volatile organic compounds) The <br /> brass sleeve was then labeled with site ID sample ID date and time sampled name of sampler and <br /> labosatory analvsis needed Once labeled the sample vas placed into a ziplock baggy sealed and <br /> placed into an ice chest containing ice to keep the sample cool until delixery to the analytical <br /> labor atory <br /> A Chain of Custody (CofC) was completed documenting the site ID sample ID s date and time <br /> samples were obtained the laboratory analysis needed and the name of the samples The CofC <br /> tollows the sannples and documents the Mio and N%hen of possession transfer of the samples fiom <br /> collection through final analysis by California Ceitifred Laboratory North State Environmental <br /> FLAP Certificate No 1753, see Appendi\ A <br /> • SAMPLE ANALYSIS <br /> The thiee UST s contained unleaded gasoline San Joaquin County Health and the State of <br /> California require that the soil samples be anal}zed for Total Petroleum Hydiocatbons as gasoline <br /> (TPI-I«) using EPA methods 8015 or 8260 foi Benzene Toluene Ethylbenzene and Xylenes using <br /> EPA methods 8020 or 8260 and the fuel o\ygeinants (Ethanol, MTBE TBA D1PE ETBE and <br /> TAME) using EPA i-rnethods 8260 <br /> NOTIFICATIONS <br /> Underground Service Alert (USA), the City of Stockton Fire Department and San Joaquin County <br /> Health were notified 48 hours in advance of any sampling, excavating and/or drilling at the site <br /> 2 R-603 ppiig samples 2-2000 <br /> i <br />
