R603 UPDATE-14 3/25/93
condensation traps, 0 . 06 gallons product and 30 gallons water
from EX-4 , 9 . 18 gallons product and 66 93 gallons water from MW-
10, and 13 . 23 gallons product and 65 . 09 gallons water from MW2/3
No fluids have collected in the MW-1 condensation trap. The
"ConVault" was connected to the vapor recovery manifold on
October 1, 1992 . Table 5 represents the field notes from LTT
condensate removal and well purging (MW2 and MW3 condensate into
the same trap and the condensate removal is represented with MW2
data) As of February 25, 1993 LTT has removed 2243 . 5 gallons of
ground water from MW1, MW2 , MW3 , MWB, MW10 and water condensate
from traps for MW2&3 , MW10 , EX and 26 05 gallons of product from
the condensate traps
Total removal from the individual wells . MW1 275 gallons of
ground water, MW2 557 85 gallons of ground water and condensate
water and 22 .4 gallons of product, MW3 272 gallons of ground
water, MW8 225 gallons of ground water, MW10 570 . 35 gallons of
ground water and condensate water and 26 . 05 gallons of product
and EX 505 4 gallons of condensate water and 0 . 06 gallons of
product . Total fluids removed as of January 28, 1993 1272
gallons of ground water and 46 . 26 gallons of product
5 . 0 SUMMARY
Presently there is no floating product on the stored water
surface within the "ConVault" . Observations made on October 8,
1992 , showed that the floating product had been removed by the
vacuum placed onto the "ConVault" . A water sample was then
obtained and analyzed through WEGE' s non certified laboratory and
showed the stored water had 30 . 5 Mg/L gasoline range hydrocarbons
(TFH) , 0 994 Mg/L benzene , 9 679 Mg/L toluene, and 23 . 96 Mg/L
xylenes
A water sample was obtained of the "Convault" water on October
13 , 1992 , and again analyzed by WEGE, non certified. The water
was dramatically reduced in hydrocarbons and showed the following
concentrations . TFH 7 78 Mg/L, benzene 0 125 Mg/L, toluene 2 . 953
Mg/L and xylenes 7 362 Mg/L.
On January 21, 1993 , a sample of the water being treated by air
stripping inside the "ConVault" was obtained for certified
laboratory analysis, before dumping approximately 600 gallons of
this water to the City of Stocktons sanitary sewer, see Table 4
and Appendix A.
As of February 18 , 1993 , a total of 16806 gallons of gasoline
range hydrocarbons have been removed from the soil and ground
water beneath this site Previously removed floating product
(40 . 25 gallons) , condensation from vapor extraction (48 5
gallons) , projected petroleum hydrocarbon in situ oxidation CO2
vapor recovery (43242 pounds/6 . 25 pounds/gallon = 6918 . 7 gallons)
and vapor extraction-destruction of hydrocarbons (61242
pounds/6 25 - 9798 7 gallons) No chlorinated solvents were
detected in chromatogram comparisons, "' i .e 1, 2 , -Dichlorcethane
PAGE 8
