Waterloo Road, Stockton, CA 95215
Dear Mr. Lee,
We have summarized the buoyancy data you requested. All of the calculations
are based on the site data you have provided to us and on nominal engineering
values for the physical parameters.
All of the calculations are based on standard engineering practice. Xerxes uses
approaches in a manner similar to the protocols presented in the PEI/RP 100-
2000 manual to calculate the underground tank Buoyancy Safety Factors.
It is the tank owner's responsibility to determine the suitability and applicability
of installation. Our sole responsibility in any installation is as stated in our Limited
Warranty.
Our calculations show that, given the installation parameters that you have
provided to us (calculated with water table at finished grade, buried to a depth of
5.75 feet and unanchored) the Buoyancy Safety Factors are as follows:
Tank Type Buoyancy Safety Factor
10 Foot 12,000-gallon DWT-II 1.36: 1
10 Foot 15,000-gallon DWT-II 1.30:1
CORPORATE OFFICE/7901 XERXES AVENUE SOUTH,MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA 55431
PHONE(952)887-1890 FAX(952)887-1870
