(Wright) has prepared this report which
describes the sampling of monitoring wells at the above referenced site for the first
quarter, 1996 There are currently three groundwater monitoring wells on-site.
Previous reports are on file with the San Joaquin County Public Health Services-
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) regarding contamination from
underground fuel storage tanks.
Field Sampling Methods
This site is currently occupied by the Joint Union High School The monitoring wells
were sampled on March 28, 1996 and the following table briefly describes their
current status (see Table 1) below;
Table 1. Monitoring Wells Sampling
Well Date Well Depth to Casing Water Floating
No Sampled Depth Water Elev. Elev. Product
(ft) (ft) (MSL ft) (MSL ft)
T-1 3/28/96 19.72 8.07 4796 3989 None
T-2 3/28/96 24.05 7.77 47.72 3995 None
T-3 3/28/96 25.02 759 47.75 4016 None
The sampler proceeded to purge well volumes (a calculation was done for each well
following sounding measurements) of groundwater from the well using the
disposable bailer The well was then allowed to re-charge. Between each well
volume purge, conductivity, pH, and water temperature readings were obtained and
noted on the attached groundwater sampling information sheets presented as
Appendix A. Once these readings stabilized after two consecutive purge volumes, and
the well recovered to about 809 of the initial water level, the sample was collected
from the well Purge water was stored on-site in drums. A new disposable bailer
was used to obtain the groundwater sample which was placed with minimum
0 cavitation into the appropriate, laboratory prepared sample
Tracy High Project No 4129 Page 1
4220 Commercial Dr #5 • Tracy, California 95376 is
Telephone (209) 833-0758 • Fax (209) 832-51.52
