As you are aware,
the soil RAP has been implemented and several aspects of that work have been completed.
However, additional work must be performed in order to accomplish the goal of the RAI'. The
goal of the soil RAP was to remove the contaminated soil from around the tanks and reduce the
chance of future leaching of hydrocarbon from the soil into the ground water.
To date, the following tasks have been completed on the soil RAP:
i 1. Testing cf approximately 250 cubic yards that had been
excavated at the time the tanks were removed. One composite
sample was tested per 50 cubic yards. Three samples were
collected for each composite. That data is attached as GT-18
1ABC through GT-18 5ABC. Each of the samples were
nondetected for the analytes tested.
2. A sump was dug in the northeast corner of the excavation and
the excavation was dewatered to a depth of about ]5 feet. A
total of 8,000 gallons was removed and stored in an above
ground swing tank. One sample was collected and analyzed for
TPH. That data is attached as GT-18:;Nater I (tank)and GT-18
Sump(excavation water samrile),
3. While the excavation was dewateted, the excavation was
- -------.-- — deepened-to-a-total-depth-of_14-feet.--This-material—was
— —
stockpiled, sampled, and tested and the pile was covered with :
plastic. That data is recorded as GT-18 6ABC through GT-18
I 8ABC:
