The working perimeter will be marked by brightly <br /> colored delineators. All unauthorized personnel will not allowed access into <br /> the work space. <br /> The project supervisor will coordinate all field activities and maintain the <br /> safest possible working environment at all times. If an emergency occurs,the <br /> supervisor will immediately contact the proper authorities. <br /> _- 6.1.2 Skin and Head Protection <br /> Disposable suits,boots,and gloves will be worn when the working conditions <br /> require such precautions <br /> - Disposable plastic gloves will be worn at all times during soil and ground water <br /> sampling. The gloves will be changed after each sample has been ca'ected. <br /> Used disposable clothing will be properly discarded at the end of each working <br /> day. <br /> - hard hats will be worn during drilling, excavation, and other activities in <br /> which potentially dangerous equipment is being operated within the work <br /> space. <br /> 6.1.3 Face and Respiratory Protection <br /> During drilling and excavation activities, the working air space will be <br /> periodically monitored with either a Photo Ionization Detector(PID) or SKC <br /> �- Color-Detector Tubes (Draeger Tubes) for gas and vapor content. The FID <br /> measures the total orgajtic compounds(VOCs)vapor concentration,while the <br /> Detector Tubes neasure the levels of specific compounds in the air being <br /> sampled. <br /> Monitoring of the working air space shall be concentrated around the drilling <br /> rig and in the down wind direction. <br /> If working air spare concentrations exceed the Permissible Exposure Limits, <br /> -_--- ---_--. _ -- <br /> then-the-workers-will-wearespirators_Fvith_organic.vaporcartridges. — ------ -------__- -- __-- <br /> If working air space at the perimeter of the working space has levels that <br /> exceed the Permissible Exposure Limits for more then 15 minutes, then the <br /> r <br />
