INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr William Stewart,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this report for the property located at 515 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, Califorrua Mr <br />' Stewart is the former owner of Bill's Bart and Beacon, which operated at the site until 1988 <br /> Monitoring procedures were performed at the site on 12 April 1996 The location of the site is <br /> illustrated in Figure 1 -Location Map A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> . , <br /> This Quarterly Report is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br />' Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) saes <br />' 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located in a business/residential area of low topographic relief in Tracy, California at the <br /> 1 intersection of West Eleventh Street and Bessie Street (Figure 1) The property was operated as a <br /> Beacon gasoline station until 1988 Between 1988 and 1995, the property was vacant Currently, an <br /> Arco station is operating on the property <br /> 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br />' It is our understanding that three underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the subject <br /> r <br /> site in 1988 Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil and ground water samples collected <br />' following the tank removal, indicating that an unauthorized release of hydrocarbons had occurred <br /> Assessment of the extent of the release was subsequently ordered by the PHS-EHD <br /> 2 3 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING <br /> Between June 1988 and August 1993jour ground water morutonng wells (MW-1 through MW-4) <br /> were installed at the site (Figure 2) Petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil was detected in samples <br /> collected from MW-I and MW-4 dunng installation <br /> Between 1988 and 1993, no regularly scheduled ground water monitoring program was in place <br /> Monitoring wells were sampled in June 1988, January 1990 and September 1990 During each <br />
