' INTERIM WORK PLAN <br /> Stewart's Beacon <br /> 515 West 11th Street <br />' Tracy, California <br /> October 1994 <br /> 1 <br />' LO INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr William Stewart, Geological Audit Services, Inc <br />' (GeoAudat) has prepared this Interim Work Plan for the drilling of three soil bonngs at 515 <br /> West 11th Street in Tracy, California (the site) The site location is illustrated on Figure 1 <br />' A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br />' 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) <br />' is requiring further investigation of the site to determine the lateral extent of hydrocarbon <br /> impacted soil GeoAudat proposes to dell three soil bonngs Boring B-5 will be placed east <br /> of the former excavation, boring B-6 will be placed north of MW-1, boring B-7 will placed <br /> west of MW-1 GeoAudat is currently obtaining permission to dnll off-site The bonngs will <br /> be drilled to depths of approximately 15 feet Samples will be collected using a continuous <br /> core sampler from 5 feet to the bottom of the bonngs Samples will be field screened for <br /> the presence of organic vapors using a photo-ionization detector (PID) <br /> I <br /> 3.0 PROCEDURES <br /> To meet the project objectives, the following procedures will be performed <br />' Notify the San Joaquin County Environmental Public Health Services - <br /> 1} N fy q ty <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) 48 hours prior to commencement of any <br /> work A Site Health & Safety PIan is currently on file with the PHS/EHD <br /> 2) Drill three borings using a truck-mounted drill ng equipped with continuous-flight, <br /> 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers The bonngs will be drilled to depths of <br /> approximately 15 feet The bonng locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> 3) Obtain soil samples using continuous core sampling Samples will be collected from <br /> the core in precleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves <br /> Geological Amb,Services, Inc, <br /> Stewart's Beacon WP 2/661 S/10-94 1 <br />
