l '
.595 East 11th Street Tracv C4 June 6, 1994
• All sampling equtpmcnt was pre-cleaned before use using an Alconox soap solution and a distilled water
nnse All liquid wastes derived during purging procedures were stored on-site in DOT rated 55-gallon
dnuns
FINDINGS
The results of the groundwater samples are presented in Table l and the complete laboratory anal)sis
report field notes and chain of custody are included as Attachment A TPHg was found at wells MW-3
and MW-2 with concentrations of 13 000 and 9 900 parts per billion(ppb), respectively in addition,
BTEX constituents ranging from 74 to 1 800 ppb were also detected However TPHg and BTEX were
not present at MW-1
No petroleum h}drocarbon sheen or floating product were noted in any of the monitor wells, but a
moderate hydrocarbon odor was detected at MW-2 and MW-3
The results of the depth to groundwater measurements and surface elevation data are presented in Table 2
and the current groundwater flow direction and surface elevations are illustrated in Figure 3
CONCLUSIONS
Main conclusions are as follows
I Shallow groundwater level is currentl} at a depth of apprommately 7 0 to 7 5-feet below grade
The average depth to groundwater at the site has risen approximately five-tenths of a foot
• Groundwater flow dnrection is inferred to be to the northeast w ith a gradient of approximately
U 0029 vertical per horizontal feet This flow direction and gradient data is consistent with the
previous data from October 6, 1993
2 Laboratory analysis data show that monitor well MW-3 and MW-2 contain TPHg and BTEX
constituents Maximum TPHg concentrations were found at well MW-3 located slightly north-
east of the former UST location Mwamum benlene toluene and total x}lenes concentrations
were also found at well MW-3 Monitor well MW-1 did not contain detectable levels of TPHg
or BTEX Overall TPHg and BTEX levels at MW-3, and MW-2 decreased slightly since the
previous sampling event(January 1994)
i
DISCUSSION
The next quarterly groundwater sampling event will take place at the beginning of July 1994 RRM w111
contact the client 72-hours pnor to conducting the field work
3
