Advancement of two soil borings using a Geoprobe 5400 direct push apparatus to investigate <br /> the vertical and lateral extent of residual soil contamination,and collection of discrete <br /> groundwater samples at total depth from each boring to investigate the vertical and lateral extent <br /> of groundwater contamination. One boring will be advanced beneath the former Tank 4 <br /> location to a depth of twenty-five to thirty feet below surface grade (bsg),terminating at the clay <br /> layer. A second boring will be advanced to a depth as great as 25 feet bsg in the traffic divider in <br /> the center of Eleventh Street in Tracy,CA. Soil samples will be collected continuously during <br /> drilling. <br /> 2. Groundwater and selected soil samples will be analyzed for. <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G)by United States Environmental <br /> Protection Agency(EPA) SW-846 Method 8015B <br /> • Benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene,and total xylenes (BTEX) by EPA SW 846 Method <br /> 8021B <br /> • Methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE),tertiary butyl alcohol(IBA),di-isopropyl ether <br /> (RIPE),ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE),tertiary amyl methyl ether(TAME),methanol, <br /> and ethanol by EPA SW-846 Method 8260B,and <br /> • Ethylene dibromide(EDB) and 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA)by EPA SW-846 Method <br /> 8260B. The detection limit for 1,2-DCA will be 0.5 micrograms per liter(µg/L). <br />
