L Stantec Consulting Services Inc.
3017 Kilgore Road Suite 100
Rancho Cordova CA 95670
Tel:(916)861-0400
Fax:(916)861-0430 -
Rantec
April 12, 2013
Mr. Johnny Yoakum
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205-6232
RE: Soil Boring Work Plan
Proposed 7-Eleven Store #36084
620 Eleventh Street
Tracy, CA
Stantec Project No.: 185750114.200.0104
Dear Mr. Yoakum:
This work plan was prepared by Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (Stantec) on behalf of
7-Eleven, Inc. (7-Eleven) for the advancement of four proposed soil borings at the site
referenced above (Figures 1 and 2). The work proposed is being performed in relation to
environmental due diligence for the proposed 7-Eleven site.
SITE BACKGROUND
Based on information gathered during the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, it appears
that the site has been primarily vacant land from at least 1913 (earliest historical record
researched) to circa 1922. By 1926, it appears that a portion of the site was used as a dairy
and cheese manufacturing facility until circa the late 1950's/early 1960's. The site appears to
have been vacant land since that time.
PERMITTING AND UTILITY CLEARANCE
Stantec will not conduct the proposed scope of work until the appropriate permits have been
issued by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). Prior to
conducting subsurface work at the site, Underground Service Alert (USA) will be contacted to
delineate subsurface piping near the site with surface markings. In addition, a private utility
locator service will be used to delineate subsurface utilities at the site.
