t -
All
PID w/lamp of 10.2 eV Yes
RISK ASSESSMENT
1 ijl The primary safety goal during the contamination analysis is to
protect the sampling team and support staff while they acquire
representative samples and monitor air quality. if proper LEL
! values are maintained, they. the risk of explosion and resulting
,1 fire will be minimal. Due to the unconfined nature of the project
i isite, toxic vapors released during the operations will be
; ;; ;• , sufficiently diluted by ambient air , so that the surrounding
! community will be exposed to negligible risk. In order to assure
' that vapor dispersal is adequate, a handheld Photo Ionizing
41 Detector (PID) will be used to monitor vapor concentrations.
11E ' EXPOSURE MONITORING PLAN
I !" Environmental exposure will be monitored periodically using a hand
held PID and an LEL/02 meter. Personal exposurrs monitoring (in
addition to the annual check-up) will not be conducted.
All personnel. have been approved for respirator use.
All WEGE personnel have current 40 hour OSHA certification.
WORK ZONES AND SECURITY MEASURES {
}l
I The work area will be restricted to WEGE personnel and site/job
specific sub-contractors near the sampling.
