Eleventh St. SITE CODE: 1401 <br /> j` Tracy, California <br /> This letter is being sent to summarize the issues discussed at a meeting held at San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) <br /> between PHS/EHD staff Diane Hinson and Linda Turkatte, Western Geo-Engineers <br /> representative George Converse and you on Thursday, February 11, 1993. <br /> The additional verification soil and groundwater sampling needed at this site to address <br /> the concerns noted in a letter dated April 18, 1991 from PHS/EHD to you was discussed <br /> at the meeting. <br /> The soil samples obtained in 1988 from the south and southeast ends of the former tank <br /> pit area indicate this area has not been impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons. Therefore, <br /> only the areas to the north-northeast and to the northwest of the former tank pit need <br /> further investigation to verify that these areas have not been impacted by petroleum <br /> ,F <br /> hydrocarbons. <br /> t As discussed at the meeting, a soil boring in each of these locations would be,sufficient <br /> 1 for this verification purpose. <br /> Ag <br /> _monitorin well in the identified downgradient direction, to the northeast of the r-ormer <br /> — -- -- - —-- — -- ------ --the-g <br /> tank pit area at this site, is needed to venfysaality of tlie-groundwater in thlareas -- <br /> -- -- -- <br /> Also discussed at the.metiting, a monitoring well constructed in the north-northeast soil <br /> boring would be sufficient to monitor this area of concent. <br /> The groundwater samples obtained for verification analysis will, in addition to total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene,ethylbenzene and xylene, be analyzed for <br /> soluble Iead.
