Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes have been <br /> y below detectiion limits for all wells (MW1, MW2 and MT43) <br /> ! since the July 5, 1988 sampling. <br /> 2. The most recent varification sampling of soil and ground <br /> water shows the soil and ground water beneath this site <br /> to be free of gasoline range hydrocarbons and the ground <br /> water beneath this site to be free of lead. <br /> 3. Over-excavation of the tank field and waste oil tank <br /> area removed the contaminated soil. <br /> 4.. The limited ground water contamination found beneath the <br /> tank field and at monitor well MW1 was remediated by <br /> evaporation and/or dilution. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> 1. Based upon the above conclusions this site should be <br /> considered as "closed" for Desert Petroleum Inc. <br /> 2. once site closure is granted, the existing onsite . <br /> monitor wells should be destroyed, to prevent any risk <br /> to the ground water from the ongoing retail of gasoline <br /> at the present service station facility on site. <br /> TIME FRAME <br /> Due to the unusual circumstance of Desert Petroleum's situation, <br /> ie.
