<' A L)DENDUM ALCOHOL AND DRUG CONTROL POLICY Consistent with WEGE's commitment to the protection of '--heir employees, operation6 and the public, and because of the growing concerns of alcohol and drug use in the work place and their potential impact with respect to ' safe and efficient operation of WEGE and/or Cf,eh45 facilities, WEGE ane. our Q-hen+S have implemented an alcohol and drug control policy. 'ibis policy applies to all contractors, employees and/or visitors. This policy provides: "The use, possession, distribution or sale of illegal drugs, � t; alcohol or controlled substances, and the paraphernalia 4.: associated with such on company premises, including parking si- areas, is absolutely prohibited. If a visitor or contractor's employee is in violation of this policy, he or she will be immediately escorted off the premises and reported to the local law enforcement authorities if appropriate." This policy applies to all contractors, employees, Clients and th&ir °I. employees, and/or visitors. This policy provides: "Smoking is absolutely prohibited inside the laboratory k units at any time, on the investigation site or Client+s ; premises, including parking areas. Smoking will be permitted only on public property after "smoker" +has carefully washed ?' his or her hands. After the "smoke break" the "smoker" e will again carefully wash his or her hands before starting or re-starting work." GENERAL SAFETY RULES f r In addition to all standard safety rules and common sense safety and "will to survive" habits or rules, WEGE personnel wil: : waar a hard hat when on site and out side the laboratory; i i.ear hard toed shoes or toe protectors, when on site and outside the laboratory; wear eye protection and hearing protection devices, when onsite and outside the ?aboatory; wear proper breathing equipment when contaminant screening devices indicate 20% or more of the .lower s-fety limit r.f any contaminant; and to notify any one involved or in the imm,--tate area of the !` potential safety hazard or rules .
