PID w/lamp of 10.2 ev Yes
RISK ASSESSMENT
i ' I' III The primary safety goal during the contamination analysis is to
protect the sampling team and support staff while they acquire
j representativsamples and monitor air quality. If proper LLL
? values ar, ,aintained, then the risk of explosion and resulting
I fMire will i,e minimal. Due to the unconfined nature of the proj9ct
site, toxic vapors released during the operations will be
sufficiently diluted by ambient air so that the surrounding
community will be exposed to ziegligible risk. In order to assure
'. that vapor dispersal is adequate, a handheld Photo Ionizing
trr( Detector (PID) will be used to monitor vapor concentrations.
ur EXPOSURE MONITORING PYRAN
Environmental exposure will be monitored periodically using a hand
held PID and an LEL/02 meter. Personal exposure monitoring (in
t', addition to the annual check-up) will not be conducted.
+i fl All personnel have been approved for respirator use.
All WEGE personnel have current 40 hour OSHA certification.
WORK ZONES AND SECURITY MEASURES
IT
ISI`. j
The work area will be restricted to WEGE personnel and site/job
i specific sub-contractors near the sampling.
