San Joaquin Count <br /> Flood Control District maps show three (3);Iwater wells used for <br /> monitoring groundwater depths within 1 1/2 miles of the site. <br /> PRIOR USE OF THE UST' S : The two UST' s wereaused to fuel company <br /> vehicles; dates of installation are not known, and there are no <br /> records available concerning gallonage used during the period the <br /> tanks were in service. The dispensing pumps had been removed <br /> sometime prior to the removal of the tanks! The site had been a ' <br /> welding supply warehouse for many years; a'Cportion of the <br /> building is still used for that purpose. The rest of the <br /> building has been leased to others and is used as an automobile <br /> body repair shop. <br /> REVIEW OF PRIOR WORK PERFORMED ON THE SITE14 Refer to the WJH <br /> report dated August 26, 1996 for details of the recently <br /> completed soil/groundwater investigation. <br /> WORKPLAN FOR PLACING THREE 3 211 GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS : <br /> q <br /> The proposed approximate locations of the 3 wells are shown on r <br /> PLATE 1; the locations are based upon the results of the 8 probe # <br /> holes recently placed, interference from underground and overhead <br /> utilities, and the proximity of eleventh street . Final locations <br /> will be properly surveyed after completion4of the work. <br /> r <br /> 1 . Mobilize V & W Drilling auger rig & support truck. Rig to be <br /> equipped with clean 8" hollow stem augers designed. to accomodate <br /> an 1811 California Modified split-spoon sampler. All work will be <br /> supervised by an RG from Wm. J. Hunter & Associates . <br /> 2 . A soil sample will be taken at 5 ' bgl in each well; it will <br /> be described & preserved using standard field procedures . Each I <br /> preserved soil sample will be transported under chain of custody <br /> to. a State Certified laboratory and analyzed for BTEX, TPHg, & <br /> TPHd. <br /> It <br /> 3 . The augers will be advanced to 20 ' bgl ,as directed by the RG. <br /> 2" sch. 40, blank & slotted PVC will be made up and run to 20 ' . <br /> Casing to consist of 151 of .020" shop-cut :,slots extending from <br /> bottom to 5 ' bgl; the remainder will be blank. The bottom joint <br /> will be fitted with a solid screw-thread cap, and the top <br /> equipped with an expandable locking cap. <br /> 2 <br />
