ELEVENTH STREET, TRACY, CA <br /> SITE CODE 2083 <br /> On February 8, 1996, we submitted a report covering the results <br /> of work performed at the above site in September, 1995, (excava- <br /> tion of contaminated soil, ), which included a workplan for placing <br /> up to seven push type soil probes around the site of the removed <br /> UST. 'Additional' locatioris"were also °included if necessary. <br /> We wish to modify that workplan as shown below; we have listed <br /> i the original wording with the changes following. <br /> Ia. ORIGINAL WORKPLAN - Mobilize properly licensed & insured <br /> "geoprobell type equipment capable of obtaining discrete soil and <br /> water samples for analysis . <br /> lb. REVISED - Mobilize Transglobal Environmental Geochemistry . <br /> strataprobe unit & mobile laboratory. <br /> 2a.. ORIGINAL WORKPLAN - Soil samples will; be taken at 51 & 10 ' <br /> below grade as directed by the geologist;;€'they will be -properly <br /> sealed, labeled &• preserved for laboratory analysis . Each cored <br /> interval will be screened with a field` calibrated PID meter & <br /> readings recorded. In the event that an onsite mobile laboratory <br /> is utilized, it, will not benecessaryto screen the samples since <br /> that can be done promptly & more efficiently in the lab. <br /> 2b. REVISED - Soil samples will be taken at 51 & 10 ' below grade; <br /> they will be promptly sealed and delivered directly to the onsite <br /> lab for analysis . <br /> i <br /> 3a. ORIGINAL WORKPLAN - .Upon reaching the capillary fringe, <br /> estimated to be between 101 -12 ' . bg1, a hydropunch-type tool will <br /> be driven into groundwater in order to collect sufficient volumes ' <br /> for laboratory analysis . Water samples will be placed in clean <br /> VOA' s, sealed, labeled, and preserved forklaboratory analysis . <br /> 3b. REVISED - Water samples will be .delivered directly- to the <br /> onsite lab for analysis . <br /> 4a. DRIGINAL WORKPLAN - Each probe hole will be thoroughly <br /> grouted with cement from bottom to the surface as directed by a <br /> representative of the San Joaquin County EHD. <br /> 4b. REVISED - No change. <br /> 5a. ORIGINAL WORKPLAN - Soil & water samples will be analyzed <br /> for BTEX (EPA 8020,-) TPH (EPA 8015M, ) & total lead (EPA 7420 . ) <br /> Analysis will be performed by a State Certified laboratory using <br /> appropriate detection limits . An onsite mobile laboratory may be <br /> used to perform. the analyses instead of 'transporting them to a <br /> 1 <br />
