(GR) has prepared this First
Quarter 1998 Status Report that summarizes the results of the first quarter 1998 groundwater
monitoring and sampling at the above referenced site. Objectives of the quarterly
groundwater monitoring and sampling are to evaluate changes in groundwater levels and
changes in dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in the shallow groundwater
beneath the site.
SITE BACKGROUND
The subject site is located adjacent to the_ Southern Pacific Railroad tracks west of the
intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and West Eleventh Street in Tracy, California (Figure 1).
The site vicinity is relatively flat, and is situated at approximately 45 feet above mean sea
level (MSL). Four soil samples were collected from the base of the gasoline UST
excavation at depths of approximately 9 to 10 feet below ground surface (bgs), one soil
sample was collected from beneath the product dispenser at approximately 5.5 feet bgs, and
one soil sample was collected from the base of the waste oil UST excavation at
approximately 7.5 feet bgs.
