CASE NARRATIVE
Prepared For:
F 1 L E Bob Cochran
Chevron Products Company
6001 Bollinger Canyon Road
Building L
P.O. Box 6004
San Ramon, CA 94583-0904
Prepared By:
Lancaster Laboratories
2425 New Holland Pike
Lancaster, PA 17605-2425
SAMPLE GROUP
The sample group for this submittal is 785891. Samples arrived at the laboratory
on Saturday, November 10, 2001.
METHODOLOGY
The specific methodologies used in obtaining the enclosed analytical results are
indicated on the laboratory chronicles.
COMMENTS
The DP-1, DP-2, DP-3, DP-4, DP-5 and DP-6 vials from Facility 201383 submitted
for the volatile analysis did not have a pH < 2 at the time of the BTEX +
Oxygenates analysis. Due to the volatile nature of the analytes, it is not
appropriate for the laboratory to adjust the pH at the time of sample receipt.
The recovery for methanol in the Laboratory Control Spike and the Matrix
Spike/Matrix Spike Duplicate was outside the QC acceptance limits. Since
recovery is high and no methanol was detected in samples DP-1, DP-2, DP-3,
DP-4, DP-5, DP-6 and QA the data is reported.
