Acampo Rd
Clements, CA 95227
Dear Staff Members and or Planning Commission Members ,
I am the owner of a ten acre parcel immediately adjacent to the proposed project. The project
will be directly behind my property and we both have long parallel unpaved driveways that will
be impacted by this project. Although all the surrounding property is horse country and I have
no objection to the number of animals or the building of an arena or riding stables, I am very
concerned about the size of the development and the commercial aspect of it's use. I did not buy
a home next to the Clements Rodeo and I fear that I will be now having a rodeo in my very back
yard.
This project calls for 18 parking spaces, PUBLIC BATHROOM FACILITIES, KITCHEN area.
Both long private roads are unpaved with narrow turn offs from Acampo road there will be
significant road and traffic issues. How often will the land owner have Public events and what is
the number of persons anticipated at the events? There is a proposed staging area will there be a
bandstand and loudspeakers too? What about the light and noise pollution? Drainage and water
issues of the driveway areas. Further what about the septic systems for these public bathrooms?
This property is in the Williamson Act what are the commercial limits placed on this operation
or will she be allowed to have events every weekend? One of the most important concerns I
have is the increased fire hazard to such a public facility. The Clements Fire Department is
already stretched thin. A large commercial operation with public events will increase fire
hazards in the area. I believe if this project is to be approved it should be with strict limits in the
