Acampo Road, Lodi . c. . t a
Land Use Application Number#PA-03-101 (MS)
Dear Mr.Hess, i
Per your letter dated September 26, 2003,our office is providing you with the information you
have requested. As you may be aware, a Surface Subsurface Contamination Report was prepared
by our office for this project. Several of the items you have requested are contained in that
report.
The fallowing responses correspond to the information you have requested:
1.1 The property is zoned AG 40.
2.1 The property has been used for farming for at least the past 60 years. A residence
has existed for approximately 19 years.
3.4-3.6 All the surrounding residences are on septic system. A search of four near by
septic system permits indicates septic systems are typically leach lines or filter bed
systems. No seepage pits were utilized.
4.2 The Surface Subsurface Contamination Report addresses potential contamination
T issues. It is possible that nitrates generated from_-dairies, fa_r_ms, and septic
systems could potentially contaminate shallow ground water if it exists in the area.
4.3 The water sample was collected from the onsite domestic water well. No
construction details were available from the files at EHD. The water sample was
collected from an outdoor water faucet on the side of the house.
4.4 The analytical result for nitrate was 7,670 ug/L-N(as nitrogen). 7,670
micrograms per liter is 7.67 mg/L-N. This is roughly 7.6 parts per million.
4.5 The sample was sent to the laboratory by Arron Mejorado of our office. The
sample was collected at 12:45 pm and arrived at the lab at 1:50 pm. Please refer
to the chain of custody attached in the report. This information is contained there.
pE RSO
r ti
> a
X W
