An inspection was made on July 15, 1988 by Doug Wilson <br /> R.S. of my staff. This inspection revealed that a sewage lift <br /> pump had a broken line and had allowed sewage to flow onto the <br /> ground. A water sample was taken by the Health District of the <br /> swim beach area. Because of the sewage failure the facility was <br /> ordered closed. ✓IO _ 1171-6 IC6-" <br /> On July 19 , 1988 an office hearing was held with John Cammack, <br /> Attorney; Max Seely and Hank Lawler, present owners of Lost Isle <br /> Resort. During this meeting it was agreed that the following <br /> items were to be collected prior to opening the facility to the <br /> public: <br /> 1 . Remove the excessive weed growth over the existing sewage dis- <br /> posal area. <br /> 2 . Remove the high tide water drain pipe located near the lift <br /> pump. <br /> 3 . Provide written documentation that the lift pump piping repairs <br /> have been made and a written statement from a licensed sewage con- <br /> tractor stating that the sewage disposal area was functioning <br /> adequately at the time all repairs were completed. <br /> On July 21 , 1988 a report from a licensed septic contractor was <br /> received by the Health District indicating that all items speci- <br /> fied above were now in compliance. After receiving the above <br /> information , the facility was allowed to r�n ti�� public. <br /> Bacteria stanch s a e nonext surface waters throughout <br /> the State.
