This project is located south of the Stockton city limits, south of Arch-Airport
Road, between State Route 99 on the east and Airport Way on the west.
Transportation Planning has circulated the document through our normal inter-
n; departmental review process and offer the following comments:
i
• Park and Ride lots should be established in proximity to interchanges and considered near 3_j
proposed industrial and commercial development. These lots should consider inclusion
I , of bus loading areas.
3
• Page 3-2, Table 3-1. As a specific project mitigation measure the project should
F.. contribute a fair share to the roadway improvements identified for interchanges.
• W improvements for the SR
Page 7-. State Route 99 est Frontage Road_ Ramp p ,
99/French Camp Road interchange will begin late 1998 or early 1999. However, Caltrans 3.3
does not have plans to change the configuration of the existing interchange.
t :
• Page 7-7. 2015 Proposed Project with Phase I Interchange Improvements Under
Cumulative Conditions. State Route 99 will not operate at an acceptable LOS and 3_
improvements from 6 to 8 lanes will be needed. The project should be responsible for a
proportionate fair share of these improvements to SR 99 as build out of the project
proceeds forward.
I
I.,i
 109540
