FFebruary 15,2006 =
NOA Project Number: E06006A
I
C 6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
The soils within the proposed sewage disposal area have demonstrated a satisfactory percolation rate
in accordance with the requirements of the EHD.-Because of-the=rapid-percolation rate observed;
the soils appear suitable for a septic system utilizing a modified-filter bed.
j6;8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
Septic system construction should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal
Standards where applicable. Also see the methods of mitigation discussed.in Section 4.2 of the Part
II, the Nitrate Loading Study'-
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
In summary, satisfactory-percolation rates of the soil, were achieved in the proposed septic disposal
area. The soils appear suitable-for-a modified filter bed septic system.. Please see the conclusions of:
=Part 11, the Nitrate Loading Study, of this report for engineering recommendations.
J No ground water was encountered in the boring drilled on the property. The depth to ground water
was found to be approximately 18 to 28 feet below the ground surface for the period of Fall 1998
and Spring 1999. The on-site water wells were tested for fiitfate and DBCP. DBCP was non-
1 detectable in the groundwater sample. The-nitrate concentration in ground-water sample avas found
to'be 114 mg/L-NO3 -which exceeds the maximum contaminant level for drinking water of 45
mg/L-NO3._We.recommend not drinking the well water until the well is repaired or replaced and
` water quality is within drinking water standards. You should contact the RHD for more details
regarding health issues and well repair/replacement options.
F1,
7.1 Signatures
The signatures of the environmental professionals involved in the preparation of this report can be
found at the front of this package.
 J-
9 -
11
