[4] Continued.
An Exploratory Log of Boring was not performed on the subject
parcel since the groundwater is fairly shallow in this area. The
groundwater will be discussed in the following section.
The percolation tests conducted by Quality Control Inspection, Inc.
were performed in accordance with Environmental Health Department
regulations, under the observation of Mr. Hector Castro, Registered
Sanitarian. Testing was truncated per Mr. Castro' s recommendation
since the data illustrated stable percolation rates. Although deep
(8 feet) test borings were drilled on Parcel No. 1 and the DR, they
were not tested due to the fine sandy soil structure encountered.
The percolation rate obtained for the shallow test boring on the DR
was calculated to be 4 . 3 minutes per inch. The percolation rate on
Parcel No. 1 was calculated at 20 min/in.
The percolation testing performed on Parcel No. 1 and the DR was
conducted at the borders of the existing almond orchard.
[5] LOCAL GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
The 1991 "Lines of Equal Depth of Water in Wells" map produced by
the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation
District indicates that the static water level is located at
approximately 20 feet in the area of the subject property. The
groundwater flow according to the District maps appears to be
_. towards the northeast, although many factors can influence this
general groundwater directional flow. There are irrigation wells
in the vicinity of the subject parcel which can be a primary factor
in groundwater directional flow changes.
Nitrate and DBCP analyses were performed on the domestic well water
that services the residence in the southeast portion of the DR.
The results indicate a concentration of . 32 ug/L for DBCP, and a
3
s . a Quality Control Inspection
