Wastewater generated <br /> from the decontamination of personnel and equipment is containerized and <br /> analyzed in accordance with applicable requirements. If analytical results <br /> support compatibility with the Class 11 impoundments, a request will be <br /> submitted to the Regional Water Quality Control Board to dispose of <br /> decontamination water in the Class II surface impoundments. Upon <br /> approval in writing from the Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br /> containerized decontamination water will be discharged in the Class II <br /> surface impoundments. <br /> • For asbestos, a strict Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM)handling <br /> program would be developed, and would include the following: <br /> a. Bagged ACM would be dumped only onto the working face of the <br /> asbestos disposal area and not onto the flat compacted landfill surface. <br /> Bulldozers would then push soil cover onto the working face to cover the <br /> ACM bags and will not contact the bags. <br /> b. For Forward site employees engaged in handling asbestos materials, <br /> Forward will implement one of the following: <br /> 1. A three-day approved asbestos workers training program <br /> 2. Any asbestos training program specific to landfill <br /> employees that has been developed, described, or <br /> required by regulation by either the CalRecycle or Cal- <br /> OSHA <br /> 3. Any other asbestos training program approved by Cal- <br /> OSHA <br /> c. Provision of water at the working face to keep ACM damp until covered. <br /> • Continuation of the annual physical evaluations of all onsite Forward <br />
