Landfill Expansion / Preparation <br /> of a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) <br /> (PA-0800105 ER) SCH # 2008052024 ' <br /> District CEQA Reference No: 20180683 <br /> Dear Mr. Funderburg: ' <br /> The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (District) has reviewed the ' <br /> Use Permit application to increase the disposal footprint of the existing Forward Landfill <br /> from approximately 355 acres to 372.3 acres. A total of approximately 17.3 acres of <br /> disposal footprint is proposed to be added. The proposed additional development area ' <br /> includes two areas within the currently permitted landfill boundaries. All the additional <br /> expansion acreage is within the boundary facilities currently permitted under Use Permit <br /> application No. UP-00-0007. The major infill development and modifications being ' <br /> proposed for this project are the following: (1) Increase the existing disposal footprint <br /> from approximately 355 acres to 372.3 acres, (2) Realigning the South Branch of the <br /> South Fork of Littlejohns Creek to the southern and eastern boundary of the site; and <br /> (3) Increase the remaining landfill capacity by approximately 8.12 million cubic yards ' <br /> (cy), from approximately 16.6 million cy currently permitted to approximately 24.7 million <br /> cy. Per the Notice of Preparation (NOP), all of the increase would be Class II landfill <br /> space, to allow the expansion area to accept both Class II and Class III waste. ' <br /> The project area being proposed will not include the landfilling operations onto the <br /> adjacent 184.0 area parcel previously proposed in 2012. The project site is located on ' <br /> the west side of Austin Road, Y2 mile north of Lynch road, north of Manteca, CA. <br /> (APN/Address 181-150-07, -08, -09, & -10 and 201-060-01, -02, 03, -05, -06, & -07 / <br /> 9999 South Austin Road, Manteca, CA.) ' <br /> In 2018, Forward Inc. requested that the previous proposed project request be <br /> reinitiated and is proposing an infill development project of 17.3 acres.
