April 4, 2012 <br /> NOISE <br /> (1) 6 (C.3) <br /> Identified in EIR: <br /> (a) Heavy equipment operations shall not be conducted within 1500 feet of <br /> any occupied residence after 10 p.m. and before 6 a.m.; or <br /> (b) Equipment operations within 1500 feet of any residence after 10 p.m. <br /> or before 6 a.m. shall be fully shielded from the direct line of sight to the <br /> residence by an earthen berm whose crown elevation exceeds the <br /> elevation of the top of the exhaust stack. <br /> Current Status: Heavy equipment operations are not currently being <br /> conducted within 1,500-ft of any occupied residence during the restricted <br /> times. <br /> (2) 7 Forward 1993 (E3) <br /> The landowner and tenant at R1 (residence at 9690 Austin Road) shall be <br /> provided with the option of requesting a sound wall to reduce noise <br /> exposure both in the front yard and within the home. Table III.E.B in the <br /> Draft EIR shows the noise reduction provided by a variety of different <br /> sound wall designs. The footnotes to Table III.EB describes the <br /> altemative designs in detail). Note that any of these designs will be more <br /> than sufficient to reduce project noise impacts below a level of <br /> significance. <br /> Current Status: No sound wall request has been made to Forward by the <br /> landowner and tenant at 9690 Austin Road. <br /> (3) 8 Forward 1993 (E1) <br /> The contractor shall be required to employ the quietest among alternative <br /> equipment or to muffle/control noise from available equipment. <br /> Current Status: All equipment utilized at the site incorporates mufflers to <br /> control noise. <br /> (4) 9 Forward 1993 (E2) <br /> Muffling of equipment used on site shall be maintained to factory <br /> specifications. <br /> Current Status: Forward routinely maintains the mufflers on all on site <br /> equipment to factory specifications. <br /> (5) 10 Austin 1994(H1.a) (similar), Austin 2000(H1.a) <br /> Page 2 <br />
