Employees are provided and <br /> required to wear personal protective gear. <br /> s. 86 (K.5) <br /> Proposed as Part of the Project: <br /> Refuse will be compacted and covered as soon as possible after <br /> deposition to reduce amounts of blowing litter. <br /> Daily inspection will be conducted to control litter on- and off-site, including <br /> the North and South Branches of the South Fork of Little Johns Creek, <br /> approach roads, entrance facilities, the transfer station/resource recovery <br /> facility, portable litter control fences, landfill perimeter fence, leachate <br /> impoundments, and storm water facilities including ditches, berms, and <br /> detention/sedimentation basins. The project sponsor will collect and <br /> deposit on-site litter on a daily basis. Portable litter collection fences will <br /> be installed as required to prohibit wind-blown litter from accumulating <br /> along roadways or around buildings. In accordance with San Joaquin <br /> County Ordinance No. 28870, adopted September 29, 1981, tarps will be <br /> placed over open loads to avoid littering during transport of waste (Title 5 <br /> Health and Sanitation, Division 2. Solid Waste Collection and Disposal, <br /> Section 5-2502). <br /> Current Status: Wastes are compacted as soon as feasible following <br /> placement and cover is placed on a daily basis. Forward crews control on <br /> and off-site litter on a daily basis. Portable litter collection fences are used, <br /> when necessary.
