December 18. 2014
FOR: Mr. Rodney Estrada, Program Manager
San Joaquin Count), Environmental Health Department
1868 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
PROJECT: deVisser Dairy
Proposed Dairy Milk Barn
Septic System Design and Operational Criteria
21268 East Avena Road
Escalon. California 95320
Application Number: N/A
(209) 581-1692
APN: 205-230-01
SUBJECT: Change in Septic Tank Specification
Reference is made to Chesney Consulting Report Number SSD02.14. On Page 3 of this report,a
monolithic septic tank was specified due to the possibility of traffic, possibly a milk tanker,
driving over this tank. A monolithic tank would offer greater protection than a two-piece tank
from severe loading.
However, the contractor failed to secure a permit from EHD and installed a two-piece tank. If the
contractor had secured the permit from EHD he would have known the tank specification. Now
that the two-piece tank has been installed, it is acceptable for it to remain provided that some
form of protection (railroad ties, bollards, etc.) is placed around the septic system (which
includes the tank and leachfield)to prevent vehicular traffic over the system.
Please contact the undersigned if there should be any questions regarding this correspondence.
Respectfully submitted,
Q1ofessfo
CHESNEY CONSULTING
T4No,75479
Don Chesnev, PE *s :
Registered Civil Engineer#075479 ivil
c°r Csli(ot
P.
