June 30, 2009
SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY
KATZAKIAN PROPERTY
12133 BAKER ROAD
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
OUR PROJECT NUMBER: LES090550
1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
Our office was contracted by Emily Katzakian to conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the property
at 12133 Baker Road, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (the "Site'o. Proposed
development includes the creation of a parcel (2.47 acres) and a designated remainder (46.89
acres).
The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for
use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section
9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work
included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by
San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, and Environmental Health Department (EHD).
In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic
maps, and groundwater information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use
with a septic system.
The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the
EHD'5 Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003.
1.1 Site Description
The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 089-160-19. The land grades down gently to
the south.
According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department
(http://www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned AG-40, general agriculture J,i)
with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres.
