!r1 Our Project Number: LES090550 Page 5 of 6
June 30, 2009
i
5.2 Percolation Test Forms and Results
The completed percolation test form is included in the Appendix B of this report. A shallow / (
percolation test is defined b the EHD as being between 36 and 42 inches in depth; a
p Y 9
satisfactory percolation rate for a shallow test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch drop.
A deep percolation test is defined as being between 3.5 and 25 feet in depth; a satisfactory
percolation rate for a deep test is 30 min/in or less. One percolation test must demonstrate a
satisfactory percolation rate within the proposed septic system disposal field of each parcel to
utilize a standard septic system. Details of the percolation tests are summarized in the table
below.
Table 3.
Summary of Percolation Tests
Percolation Percolation
Test No., Test Comments
Date Tested Test Rate Depth (feet) (minutes/inch) Duration [see notes)
P-1 (shallow) 3.35 2.94 4 hours Satisfactory
June 24, 2006
Note: A satisfactory percolation rate for a"shallow"test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch.
A satisfactory percolation rate for a"deep"test is less than or equal to 30 minutes per inch.
The soils within the sewage disposal areas of the site have demonstrated a satisfactory
percolation rate in accordance with the requirements of the EHD for the use of a standard
septic system.
Septic system construction utilizing leach lines and pits should follow the San Joaquin County
On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards where applicable. If cobbles prevent excavation of
seepage pits, sumps should be used in their place. Due to the depth of groundwater, (130 feet)
and the likely existence of fine-grained soils deeper, the impact to groundwater from
percolating effluent is estimated to be low.
6.0 CONCLUSIONS
In summary, percolation rates that meet the minimum EHD standards were achieved in the
proposed septic disposal areas of each of the proposed parcels. The parcels appear suitable for
the use of a standard septic system.
No ground water was encountered in_any~of-the baring" sdrillea-on-Y_ operty. The on-site
water well was tested for nitrate anc_DBCP. Analytical results are forthcomifq
We find the site suitable for development with the use of septic systems utilizing leach lines and
seepage pits.
7.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed
902 Industrial Way- Lodi,CA 95240.209.367.3701 -Fax 209.369.4228 ©2009 Neil 0.Anderson&Associates,Inc
