.S
kn KLEINFELDER
An employee owned company
File No. 26613.G01
March 5, 2003
Mr. Thomas Samuel
P.O. Box 151
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: SOILS SUITABILITY STUDY
13109 EAST BAKER ROAD
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Samuel:
Kleinfelder is pleased to present the results of our soil suitability study for a proposed parcel split
to be located at 13109 East Baker Road in Stockton, California. The purpose of our study was to
determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The study was performed in
general accordance to the requirements of Section 9-10100© of San Joaquin County Ordinance.
The following includes background information regarding the proposed development and present
use of the site. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures and the site
conditions encountered during our field exploration and the results of percolation tests are
presented. Finally, our project limitations are provided.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
On a preliminary basis, we understand the subject 40-acre project site will be divided into an
approximate 2.7-acre parcel for a proposed residence and a designated remainder. According to
Mr. Mike Escotto with San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department (SJC/EHD), no
percolation tests are required for the designated remainder portion of the site. The site is
currently an orchard.
We anticipate that waste disposal for the homes will be provided by individual on-site sewage
disposal systems consisting of a septic tank/leach trench sewage disposal system.
GROUNDWATER DEPTH
During the time of our investigation, groundwater was not encountered. Lines of Equal Depth to
Groundwater contour maps published in groundwater reports by the San Joaquin County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District show groundwater levels in the project area ranging
from about 90 to 135 feet below ground surface from Spring 1981 to Spring 1999.
26613.GO1/ST03R398 March 5,2003
©2003 Kleinfelder,Inc.
