Our office will let Mr. Robertson know that be needs to go to the Environmental Health
Department (EHD) office and sign the drawings for approval.
Question 2: The domestic well sampled for nitrates was test on a well constructed with a 200 foot
seal specifically designed to deal with a high nitrate problem in this area. There fore, a non-detect for
nitrates completely masks the problem in your report.
^ The domestic well was sampled in accordance to EHD regulations. During the file review at
the county, the well permit for this well was unavailable to our office. Our office was unaware of the
depth of the well, but knowing that it has a 200 foot seal, this water sample reflects the condition of
the deeper aquifer. The shallower aquifer in the area, known to have a higher nitrate concentrations,
was not tested for this report since there was no well to this aquifer on the property.
Question 3:The 83 minutes per inch results from the percolation test should have raised suspicions
AL
zc ` to review other reports by N.O.A. and sizing requirements in the Tracy area.
F In our conversation with Mr. Huggins on June 3, 2005,it was decided that there was some
confusion as to what type of system was being used for the engineered septic system. The type of
q system is a filter bed system, which was drawn to EHD specifications.
J
LODI ■ SACRAMENTO ■ MODESTO ■ RENO
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION 902 Industrial Way,Lodi,California 95240 ■209.367.3701 ■ 209.369.4228 fax 0 www.noanderson.com
