The purpose of the survey is to identify and municipal,
domestic, or agricultural wells that may impact the hydrogeologic parameters of this site.
C Identifying if any of these well's cone of depression extends under this site may influence
well head protection measures. We will request information regarding well records from the
SJCPHSEHD and the State of California Department of Water Resources (DWR).
With regards to the C&B domestic well, it will be sampled, sounded for depth to water and
total depth, its construction, condition, use, and contaminant load (if any) will be evaluated.
It is proposed that a downhole camera be used to evaluate the condition of the well and to
determine the integrity of the well casing. This information will aid in evaluating receptor
pathways. i
4.4 Preliminary Fate and Transport Risk Assessment
A preliminary fate and transport risk assessment is proposed to identify potential receptors
and to evaluate the potential for these chemicals to impact public health or the environment.
+ We intend to identify nearby potential preferential migration pathways and potential recharge
i areas. Field measured parameters will monitor plume stability or its tendency to degrade in
the natural setting and the potential for these chemicals to migrate andl impact producing
water wells. The scope of the assessment will also include a comprehensive site inspection
and accessing building department records for information pertaining to the on site ' below
rgrade structures.
' 5.0 SCHEDULE & REPORTING
Geological Technics Inc. anticipates beginning field work in late August 1996 following
work plan approval, cost pre-approval from the USTCFP, and issuance of the monitoring
well permits. The information gathered during this phase of work including the lateral and
C vertical definition work will be presented in a report which will include a summary of the
geology and the results of sample analyses. The project will be supervised by Dr. Ray
Kablanow, a registered professional geologist responsible for the work. Copies of the report
will be forwarded to both the appropriate County and State regulatory agencies.
C
I
C
C'
1.r
