I am in receipt of the document
dated November 16 , 1990 sent from your office to the Planning
i Division relative to the subject project and it is my intent to
raise the following questions at the Wednesday meeting:
1. You make reference to a soil suitability study that has
been accepted by the SJC Health Department . Is this
the septic suitability study we just concluded? If so ,
would you correct your staff report to read, "accepted
and approved' rather than "accepted" . The same paragraph
ends with requirements pertaining to the provision of
water and sewage for future development. Would you please
be prepared to comment on those requirements and conditions .
Your Item #3 indicates an ordinance requirement for a double leach
field system. I am unable to locate that document within my County
ordinance folder and would appreciate your bringing a copy to the
Wednesday meeting.
With reference to Item #4, please be advised that an improvement
plan for the water system has been submitted and approved to the
SJC Public Works Department. Could you be specific if additional
information is needed to comply with this condition.
Your item SA refers to the capacity of the community water system
to serve the development. Such information was transmitted by our
engineers to the Department of Public Works and it was my understanding
that the matters of capacity are under the jurisdiction of Depart-
ment of Public Works and that the matters of quality are under the
f jurisdiction of the Health Department.
Sin exely,
W.
