` k k" K L E-FN F E L D E R
F
File No. 20-2983-03
October 26, 1990
Fi W.D.O. , Inc.
7599 Linne Road
Tracy, California 95376
Attention: Dave Olmstead
Subject: ADDENDUM TO SEPTIC SYSTEM SUITABILITY STUDIES
PROPOSED SUBDIVISIONS
LOCATED NEAR VALPICO ROAD AND MACARTHUR DRIVE
F SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Gentlemen:
FPresented in this report are the results of additional studies
regarding nitrate loading for subdivisions located southeast of
R Tracy in a section bounded by Valpico Road on the north, Chrisman
j Road on the east, Linne Road on the south, and MacArthur Drive on
F the west. As you are aware, our firm has prepared several septic
system suitability studies within the limits of the study area in
accordance with Ordinance No. 3323 , Division 10, Chapter 2, Section
F9-10100, Item C. San Joaquin County Environmental Health has
expressed concern regarding the additional nitrate loading to the
Ft'
upper aquifer beneath the study area. The maximum allowable
nitrate concentration in drinking water, according to State
standards, is 45 mg/l. With wells in the area generally indicating
a nitrate concentration of between 30 to 35 mg/l, the groundwater
beneath the site has a limited capacity for additional nitrate
' loading from septic systems.
3 In our evaluation we have reviewed the following soils and septic
system suitability reports:
F
i
F
copyright 1990 Kteinfelder, Inc.
KLEWFELDER 2825 East Myrtle Street, Stockton, CA 95205 (209) 948-1345
