F1
kH KLEINEELDER
File No. 20-2983-03
F October 26, 1990
FW.D.O. , Inc.
7599 Linne Road
FTracy, California 95376
Attention: Dave Olmstead
.F Subject: ADDENDUM TO SEPTIC SYSTEM SUITABILITY STUDIES
PROPOSED SUBDIVISIONS
LOCATED NEAR VALPICO ROAD AND MACARTHUR DRIVE
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Gentlemen:
FPresented in this report are the results of additional studies
regarding nitrate loading for subdivisions located southeast of
F Tracy in a section bounded by Val.pico Road on the north, Chrisman
Road on the east, Linne Road on the south, and MacArthur Drive on
Fthe: west. As you are aware, our firm has prepared several septic
system suitability studies within the limits of the study area in
accordance with Ordinance No. 3323 , Division 10, Chapter 2, Section
F 9-10100, Item C. San Joaquin County Environmental Health has
expressed concern regarding the additional nitrate loading to the
Pupper aquifer beneath the study area. The maximum allowable
nitrate concentration in drinking water, according to State
Fstandards, is 45 mg/l. With wells in the area generally indicating
a nitrate concentration of between 30 to 35 mg/l, the groundwater
' beneath the site has a limited capacity for additional nitrate
' loading from septic systems.
FIn our evaluation we have reviewed the following soils and septic
system suitability reports:
# '
F
Copyright 1990 Kleinfelder, Inc.
KLEINFELDER 2825 East Myrtle Street, Stockton, CA 95205 (209) 948-1345
