' 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using <br /> industry standard protocol. The soil in this area is classified as Archerdale Clay Loam and <br /> Cogna Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United <br /> States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. <br /> ' 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soils <br /> classified as Archerdale Clay Loam in this area have permeability that is slow and the soil <br /> classified as Cogna Loam has a permeability as being moderate. The percolation rate was <br /> ' 15 min/in. (See Appendix.) <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION <br /> t6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation <br /> test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. <br /> ' 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each <br /> parcel: One shallow percolation test hole was prepared for this application. <br /> ' .3 Description of the date time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including depth <br /> 6 p � P <br /> and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak(minimum <br /> ' 12 inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 12 inches in diameter <br /> and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards. The shallow <br /> hole was prepared by Mike Toy of Dillon& Murphy on September 11, 2018 at 7:00 a.m., On <br /> ' September 11,2018 at 7:30 a.m.the 24 hours presoak period was started. The hole was filled with <br /> 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. <br /> ' 6.4 Description of the date,time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period <br /> (hole still intact,hole dry,preparation of hole,and depth of water used to presoak(minimum <br /> 12 inches): On September 12, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. the one shallow test hole was dry. Six inches of <br /> water was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed <br /> the minimum County requirements. <br /> ' 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02(correct depth, diameter,2" gravel,6"water <br /> refill,correct readings recorded). The percolation test conformed to San Joaquin County Policy <br /> tEHD 02-02. <br /> 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS <br /> ' verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading.
