The test results show that detectable concentrations of the
-i aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons
(TPH-G) are present in three monitoring wells (MW-1, 2 & 101). MTBE was detected in two
of the samples during this event.
Wells MW-1 and MW-101 were re-sampled on September 19, 2000, to confirm the August
31, 2000 sample results. The results of the analyses confirm the presence of MTBE in well
MW-1 and the presence of Ethanol in well MW-101. The low levels of these compounds
present do not represent a significant risk to human health or the environment.
The groundwater level has risen about 0.1 feet since October 1997. Site specific gradient and
bearing measurements and calculations show that groundwater flows in a northerly direction
at approximately 0.004 Mt.
l
