OUR PROJECT NUMBER: E07183A <br /> FJOur office was contracted by John Wathen of Shimmick Construction to conduct a Soil <br /> Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study (SS/NLS) for the property at 23751 South Bird Road, Tracy, <br /> F1California. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br /> FChecklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> I. SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> ' 1.1 Introduction and Proposed Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section l <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by <br /> San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> I.1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Si 250-100-03 a rcel i8' <br /> 39 Cres in <br /> F1 size. The project involves the development of .5 s e Ian (Plate 1). e County <br /> application number is PA-07-001-331. The S e rrently has one idence n site. The <br /> Fj remainder of the property is vacant land. <br /> F1 <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a U�ted States Geological Survey topographic map, is <br /> F1approximately 30 to 35 feet above mean sea level.
